Complementary Medicine

Complementary medicine, as defined by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, is a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are used together with conventional medicine. Complementary medicine is not used in place of conventional medicine.

Our physicians support complementary approaches and may integrate these treatment programs into a patient’s individual care.

Complementary medicine techniques such as acupuncture can help women and men better cope with the stress and anxiety of infertility treatment. Acupuncture before and after fertility treatments has a multitude of benefits:

  • Increased blood flow to the uterus
  • Reduced stress levels
  • Increased sperm count
  • And more

RMA works closely with Tian Shi Acupuncture, for those who are interested in learning more about these services, please speak with your RMA physician.
